ACORN is a web-based communications tool to support the activities of the Acute Oncology Service with hospitals by providing a patient focussed tool for symptom collection and directing them to the
most applicable resources for their needs. Where possible, the patient will be presented with live support options linked to third party call management systems and an HCP web portal. ACORN aims to encourage patients who are reporting symptoms of concern to make contact sooner and divert those patients who have no symptom led issues to use more suitable service for tasks such as administration of appointments, medication questions etc.
