North Cancer Alliance Chair - as well as being the Chair of the North Cancer Alliance, Nick is Chief Executive for East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, and leads on the Integrated Care System for Suffolk and North East Essex.
Amanda is the Managing Director for the East of England Cancer Alliances and is currently leading the East of England response to the COVID pandemic for cancer services across the two Alliances.
“Improving cancer services in the East of England remains our key aim and to do this we work collaboratively with colleagues in order to put patients and the public at the heart of all that we do.”
Assistant Director - Mike is the Assistant Director for both the North and South Cancer Alliances as part of NHS England and Improvement in the East of England. Mike has over fourteen years experience of working within the NHS and Department of Health.
"My role involves developing strategic direction with the senior management team across the two Alliances at a regional level. Working closely with the National Cancer Programme team to ensure any national initiatives are transitioned at a regional level and across all six systems."
Head of Informatics - Sarah leads on cancer informatics for NHS England and Improvement in the East of England, covering both the North and South Cancer Alliances.
"I have worked in cancer statistics and programme management for fifteen years within cancer charities, the Civil Service and the NHS. With one in two people now at risk of being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, cancer data has never been so important.
"Using informatics alongside qualitative local narrative, the Informatics Team aim to provide a useful, robust source of evidence-based cancer intelligence for our local stakeholders that identifies variation. Our ultimate aim is to understand and improve cancer outcomes for our patients."
Head of Transformation Programmes - Victoria works closely with the systems in the North Alliance, helping to shape improvements in cancer care across the north of the region.
"I have worked in a number of transformation roles in the health and care sector over the last seven years. I thoroughly enjoy working in cancer transformation as it is extremely rewarding and the programmes can make significant improvements for patients."
Improvement Delivery Lead – Kate supports the delivery of high quality, consistent and equitable cancer services and positive health outcomes for cancer patients and the public, in-line with NHS cancer strategy and the Long-term Plan.
"I have 18 years experience in the NHS and the last ten years have been in operational lead roles in an acute trust across multiple specialties."
Programme Manager - The aim of this role is to deliver the key programmes that are aligned to ambitions of the Long Term Plan, helping to shape improvements in cancer care across the north of the region.
"My experience includes over fifteen years spent working in NHS senior operational management roles within an Acute Trust, with a particular focus and interest in cancer services.
"I have significant experience in clinical service management, service transformation and the delivery of performance standards. I am passionate about involving patients, carers and the public in the planning,delivery and evaluation of health care services."
Programme manager with responsibility for patient involvement, and prehabilitation. Jai also leads on tackling health inequalities and on incorporating digital technology and innovation into the cancer care pathway.
Senior Information Manager for the North Alliance - Alvaro works with the informatics team to provide intelligence and key metrics for the East of England region.
"My background is in data science applied to health and care data, particularly in areas such as the R environment, databases and simulation."
Business Coordinator for the North Alliance - Tracy provides business and office management support, leading on the business office function and supporting the teams to ensure task and activities are planned, managed and delivered effectively.
"I support and inform on the targeting of resources, as well as monitoring, implementation and evaluation of tasks/activities by providing high quality support, including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management. Acting as a main point of contact with all stakeholders in the region."
Business Support Officer for the North Alliance - Sally provides support for the business office function and to the Cancer Alliance teams to ensure activities and tasks are supported and delivered effectively.
"I support the Patient Advisory Board and the Primary Care Group with meetings, business support and events and also provide business support on various projects.
"My role involves overseeing enquiries from stakeholders, patients, the public and healthcare professionals and ensures that enquiries are sent to the appropriate team member to be dealt with."
