The North Alliance covers the areas of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Norfolk and Waveney, Suffolk and North East Essex, which all have their respective Sustainable Transformation Partnerships or Integrated Care Systems (see map below).

We cover an area that is diverse in terms of rural and urban communities, with populations of varying socio-economic backgrounds and demographics.

There are some exceptional facilities in cancer care across the region including the teaching hospitals at Addenbrooke's (Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust) and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as well as our largest hospital trust - East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

Together with our programme managers for the systems, we work closely with patients, clinicians and leaders in health and care, to implement transformation projects in-line with delivery plans.

We provide funding to support the earlier and faster diagnosis of cancer as well as supporting initiatives to ensure every person receives personalised care and support throughout their journey. We embrace innovative solutions to support this work and are currently funding pilots in personalised care, colon capsule, teledermatology, oncimmune and virtual cancer care reviews.

We drive forward projects to address inequalities in health and care and put patients at the heart of everything we do, incorporating their ideas and experience into revising and improving our care pathways (see patient involvement)

We look forward to hearing from you and working with you if you are interested in cancer care in the East of England.
