Dr Hugo Ford

Hugo qualified in medicine at Cambridge University and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. He trained in Medical Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research. He has been a Consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital since 2003. His main clinical interest are in Gastrointestinal oncology and thoracic oncology, and he is a former chair of the Anglia Cancer Network lung cancer site specific group and the Cancer Drug Fund clinical panel. Hugo has organised and led national multicentre clinical trials in oesophago-gastric cancer , and he is a member of the National Cancer Research Institute OG cancer sub- group and a former member of the upper GI Clinical Studies Group. He is also a member of the Commission on Human Medicines Oncology and Haematology Expert Advisory Group.
Since 2010 Hugo has led Cancer services at Cambridge University Hospitals, where he is currently a Divisional Director
